History
On August 16, 2004, the Switzerland – Bangladesh Business Forum was officially established in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The statutes of the SBBF were prepared with the participation of the founding members from both Switzerland and Bangladesh as Switzerland – Bangladesh Business Forum (SBBF). All 16 founding members signed the statutes of the SBBF. On October 6, 2004, the Forum was formally launched with a gala ceremony at Hotel Sheraton, where the first nine-member Executive Committee was inaugurated for a period of two-year terms.
Subsequently, The Switzerland – Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SBCCI) has incorporated by local on 17 July 2009. The first AGM of SBCCI held on Sunday, 04 October, 2009 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, where the first Executive Committee of SBCCI was inaugurated for a period of two-year terms.

The Switzerland – Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SBCCI) is a non-profit voluntary organization of individuals and companies from both Bangladesh and Switzerland; with the overall goal of promoting bilateral trade and investments between the two countries.
